About Us

Hydranight is a symphonic metal band from the Netherlands. All the bandmembers live in the region Limburg. Hydranight currently contains 3 members:

The name “Hydranight” means “Night of the dragons”. It refers to all kinds of mysteries and tales, which we as a band like to tell through our music.

Our debut EP tells the stories from Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. It contains the official “credo” from the Assassin’s (with the permission of Ubisoft, thank you very much!). The Assassin’s Creed creates the theme for the songs of the EP. Besides that, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla also beholds the Norse mythology, which is the second influence for the music of the EP.

What is your profession/education?
I’m a Master of Laws in criminal law and criminology. One of my other passions 🙂
What is your favorite band(s)?
First and foremost Within Temptation. And also Ghost, Nightwish, Sabaton, Rammstein etc.
Who is your idol?

What is your guilty pleasure?
RuPauls Drag Race, I love drag queens! Especially Bianca del Rio! And some people look suprised that I love hardcore haha
In which book or television show would you like to live?
Definitely Harry Potter. But also Pirates of the Caribbean with Jack Sparrow!
Is there something we can wake you for at night?
Sushi!
Do you have any hobbies?
Singing of course 😉 But another big passion of me is Dogsport (IPO). In particular protection work as a certified helper.
If you could be an animal, which animal would you be?
A wolf. I own 4 German Shepherds, so it is obvious why.

One cannot live without the other 😉
Dragon or Unicorn?
Always be yourself, unless you can be a unicorn. Then always be a unicorn 🙂 Though a dragon sounds pretty tempting for a Hydranighter.

Sing along Spanish guilty pleasure songs, even though I don’t know the lyrics, I still continue with confidence

Music is my work, but also my greatest passion! Besides that I like hiking, watersports, playing games, cooking and more!

A firefly, so I can be the light in the dark for someone else (a bit cliche, but very true)
